Where We Are

Fishing - The owner of the Hotel is a keen fly fisherman and will be more than happy to arrange either a full or half days fishing on a local private Trout pond, stocked by the hotel. There are also many fly fishing lakes and rivers in the surrounding area, such as Lake Vyrnwy, should you wish to spread you wings.

St.Myllin's Well is just a short walk from the center of town and offers pleasant vistas of the town and the surrounding valley.

The Parish Church of St.Myllin in the center of town, is well kept and provides regular services. Open to visitors throughout the day.

Y Dolydd - The Old Workhouse is presently in a bid to feature in the BBC's Renovation series; now derelict it is still an outstanding example of these municipal social security measures. Click here to find out how to vote for this site's restoration.

The Lonely Tree is possibly more famed than the town itself, standing alone on a hillside just outside the town. From here you can not only best see the town and the valley surrounding but also, on a clear day, Rodney's pillar on the edge of the Shropshire plains, and the Berwyn mountains - which lead to Snowdonia.

The Medical Centre is functional yet no less an attraction. It houses not only a surgery should requirements arise but also a dentist, cottage hospital, and advice centre.
